Scouting for Blacktail

Coffee Creek is always busy even during hunting season there are campers in the area. Russian is much smaller wilderness, but it generally has no campers as there are not really any destination lakes to go to.

I backpacked out to little duck lake in the Russian last October. We only saw two day hikers aside from our group and no one else parked at the trail head. Great trout fishing in the lake too.
I’m gonna start looking over my topo maps.
Anyone ever hunt the Russian?
