Surprised I haven’t read more about this one here, saw a hint about it in another thread a couple months ago and decided I needed to try one. Got notified yesterday that the Form 3 for mine was submitted. Pretty pumped about a direct thread reflex can with only 2.75” forward of muzzle that I can add baffles and/or a brake to depending on what my goal is. Less than 8 oz, and fits most CF barrels.

I look forward to hearing what you think of it! What other suppressors do you have to compare it to?

Currently

DD Wolf Hunter
DD Enticer LTi
YHM R9
OCL Polonium 30
Resilient Jolene

Recently sold a Nomad Ti XC which was similar in performance to the Wolf Hunter but not as good as the LTi for overall suppression. Also sold a SilencerCo STM and Omega 300, nice cans just heavier than I like. Have a Air Lock Nano on order too.

I plan to compare it directly to the Wolf Hunter which is currently on my 18” 6 Dasher which I plan on being the home host for the Mountain Muffler.

Appears to be a good product. They need to tighten up the copy on the website. I viewed 4 products. Each one had a poor description. If they want to sell more PM me.

Picked it up out of jail today. Will test it out this weekend. Visual representation of it vs my Wolf Hunter that was on my 6 Dasher:

Here it is with the Wolf Hunter where it would be, and also the 3 extra baffles and brake. Will be very interesting to test different configurations this weekend.

Keep us updated, I’m waiting on mine still,Wound up in the second batch. so I’ll live through you vicariously until it arrives

Put a bunch of rounds through it today. Some takeaways:

Both I and my buddy who shot with me were surprised at how quiet it was in the shortest and lightest configuration.

We both agreed it was louder than my wolf Hunter, but not by much.

We also both agreed that the 3 extra baffles didn’t make enough of a difference to justify the weight and length addition.

Overall very pleased with it. Next time out I’ll try it with the brake, though I’m not sure it’ll be a huge addition. This is on my 18” 6 Dasher.

Did a little more science today. I know there’s been some bickering about weight in other threads, so here’s what I have in this:

8.2 oz with flat end cap, ready to go on a 5/8-24 threaded rifle.

Adds 2.75” to end of rifle.

Flat End Cap - 0.8 oz
Brake - 2.0 oz
Each Extra Baffle - 1.1 oz

After testing on my 18” 6mm Dasher today I’ve decided to run it as light and short as possible. The brake works well but adds significant noise, and I feel I don’t need the additional recoil reduction on the Dasher. I do think the short “front” of the can makes the brake very effective though. While not near as loud as just a brake of course, the sound of it much more resembles the profile of a brake. You know it’s braked when you shoot it, and you can feel it to. I have not experienced that with an SRS brake or multiple Recoil-X brakes on other non-OTB cans.

Took the rifle out to 1000 today with 107 TMKs. I have some 116’s on the way to try in it. This thing is gonna be so nice to carry and shoot for my high country Muley hunt in September.
