Trump was wrong on this one. If bump stocks are to be outlawed, it needs to be done in congress. Allowing agency overreach is a dangerous thing.

The biggest fallacy, to me, is that the BATFE "twice" ruled that the "bump-stock" was legitimate and legal.
Then, at the urging5 of Trump, the BATFE suddenly decides to ban them.
You're correct!
The "ban" should be legislated, not just created by some appointed desk jockey.

P.S. - I was glad that Gorsuch brought up that between 250K and 500K "bump-stock" owners went from "citizen" to "felon" with the tick of the clock at midnight!

Have you seen some of the approvals lately? Seen multiple sub 48 hour and sub 1 week approvals the last month or so online. Something weird is going on.

If there was ever a good time to buy one, I’d imagine it’s right now from what I have seen.

I have seen people talking about that lately, even though I hate the idea of jumping through the required hoops and red tape to buy a chunk of metal, I may just do the thing and make it happen.
