That's a super clean gun! I have my great grandfather's 88 he took out to Colorado hunting mule deer. Gun still shoots sub moa groups at 100 with factory ammo

Same gun my uncle hunts with. He bought it in the 60s, and was told that it would be a collector's item some day. Guess they were right.

I have my dad's 88. He picked it up when he was in the Navy in the 50's. I have the original receipt, he paid $84.

That's a beautiful rifle. A model 88 and then a 100 were my first deer rifles when I started hunting, both in .308. I'm glad to know there are still people that appreciate them.

I had one in the late 80’s …. Sold it at a gunshow.
