Scope rings

I need to buy some 34mm scope rings for a 4-16x42 nightforce. I generally like to run my scopes low, but I remember not loving how tight the bolt handle ran the last time owning this scope. I believe I had something in the 0.8" range before for ring height. I see some manufacturers have lows in the 0.9" range or could go higher with 1". I'm curious what has worked well for others? I'm using a TL3 with a manners PH.

I have settled on 1" high rings for 90° bolt throws for the bolt clearance you talk about.

I also prefer buttstocks as close to the bore line as possible for better recoil control, which makes taller rings more comfortable anyway
