Found a deal on a Browning McMillan Long Range in 7mm rem mag for elk hunt in November, and trying to decide on a scope

-5X or 6X , something in the 3-15, 3-18, etc. range
-30mm+ tube
-Budget is $2K or less
-Second Focal Plane

What would you recommend? Rings?...it comes with a picatinny rail

TIA

Recently put on a Vortex Razor HD LHT, 3-15. Really like it. Price is pretty darn reasonable for what you get. I did not want/need exposed windage knob on a hunting scope

If weight is a concern, Swaro or Zeiss V6, if not, NXS. You couldn't go wrong with any of those three. Check out redhawkrifles demo optics section. They have great deals on all three of those. I have gotten 2 "demo" scopes from them and they were same as new.

I'd go razor LHT. Some other good options out there too though but the LHT features appeal to me.

Seekins rings are awesome too.

Leupold Mark 5 hd 3.6-18x44 with 20 MOA rail and ARC 35mm rings.
(But that is FFP)

I have this setup on my CA Ridgeline 300 Win and absolutely love it.

I have the Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40 30mm SF CDS-ZL on my 300 WSM. For SFP, that's hard to beat for the money.

Swarovski Z series has great glass. Unsure about its long-term repeatability on dialing. If you go this route, do not get one with the BT as it limits you to 13.25 MOA of elevation.

Vortex Razor LHT and Zeiss Conquest V4 look promising.

Have had great success with my VX6HD. Glass is great. Mine has been very reliable and repeatable. It has about 15K of air miles and about 2K of road/off-road miles. Ordered a VX5HD based upon my experience; just waiting for it to arrive.

Last but not least, the Nightforce NXS 3.5-15.
