Scope Options for 10/22 with Leupold Firedot

I just purchased a Ruger 10/22 stainless with a European walnut schnabel stock. I’m considering a scope (new or used) and would prefer a Leupold Fire dot (1-4, 2-7, smaller/lighter than a full sized scope preferred). I’m considering the Leupold VX3 1.5-5 Twilight Hunter. I also have the option to swap a scope from my AR - Leupold Patrol 1-4 - and then purchase a higher magnification range scope for the AR (example: Leupold VX5 2-10 Firedot). Note: On the 10/22 I will be using a one-piece Leupold AR mount on a picatinny rail.

I’m open to used scopes so if you have a Leupold Firedot for me to consider, please PM me.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations and/or additional ideas to consider.

Swfa 1-4 might be a good fit. Ive got a 6x on my 1022 and the 1-4 on my ar but was just thinking last night I should swap them.

Thanks for the reply, Speaks. Do you use your 10/22 for all purpose use - plinking, range, hunting? That’s how I plan to use mine plus I don’t want a physically large scope to overwhelm the portability of the rifle. I am planning on using a picatinny rail and the same Leupold one-piece mount so I have the option of swapping the scopes between rifles (AR and 10/22).

I agree - sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Thanks, go_deep.

Ideally, I’m looking for a scope gives me the option to swap between the AR and the 10/22 That’s why I’m considering a 2-7, 3-10 or even 3-9. Thanks again.
