I'm looking at putting the schmidt & bender 1.5-6x42 zenith on my Win Model 70 30-06. Other than mounting the scope onto the rings, what measurements should I pay attention to in order to ensure a good fit on the rifle with good eye relief? I love the lower end magnification as it's plenty of mag for where I hunt. But worried that the tube may not give enough adjustability. Also, it's worth noting I currently have the Leup 2-10x42, and while most of the measurements are very similar, the Leup's tube is a little longer, obviously offering more adjustability.
