Scope help

For starters Ive done searches and have read lots of reviews but still looking for help. Looking to upgrade my scope, Ive been a die hard Leupold user for a long time with no issues but they seem to get a lot of hate here. Looking for a scope to go on my 300 Ultra for longish range hunting (6-800 yds) and steel shooting out to 1000yds. I also hunt horseback a lot so lower profile turrets is a plus, not wanting anything over a 50mm objective with 40 or 44 being better without a cluttered up busy reticle andhoping to stay under $1500. Give me your thoughts guys

I'm no expert on this topic but saw no one responded to this yet and just saw a Zeiss Conquest in the classifieds that I would jump all over if I was you.
