Scope for Tikka T3X Ranahan .223

I'm considering a Tikka T3X Ranahan because the prices are really good on it right now. I kind of like the idea of keeping the iron sights on as backup sights. Does anyone know if a scope can be mounted while still retaining the iron sights? If somebody has done it, what mounting set up did you use?

Look
Through bases, or tip off rings.

A rail and rings are another option, but true POI will require a little adjustment when you put the scope back on.

I would just go with a decent scope on a 223.

Something like a Trijicon Credo HX 1-6x24 would work.
