Just found and bought some hammy's. How are you liking yours so far?Aadland on mine. Bullet proof but loud opening & closing.
I just ordered some of the Hammy3dprints caps for one of my rifles to try out, might be worth a look
I didn't have enough clearance between my scope and the barrel to be able to use them. The concept is good though, if I can use them on another rifle in the future I will.Just found and bought some hammy's. How are you liking yours so far?
What scope and rifle are you running again?I didn't have enough clearance between my scope and the barrel to be able to use them. The concept is good though, if I can use them on another rifle in the future I will.
Only thing I would change would be to add a thin rubber or foam liner inside the caps. It would help keep them in place and quiet, but not needed.
His website needs work, it was difficult to know what exactly I needed to order. My first order indeed up only being the part that clamps to the scope, I had to place a second for the caps.
Nightforce NXS 2.5-10. I have it on a Lonepeak Fuzion Action with a Proof Sendero barrel and Area 419 low rings. The use of the rubber band instead of the "tip grip" would probably work, but it seems less appealing to have shock cord run from the scope rings. What scope and rifle are you running again?
Mine is a T3/Maven. I didn't have any issues with ordering - lots of different options to select on the product page before submitting, along with pics to (hopefully) ensure the right items.
I was thinking the same idea for a thin rubber liner inside - but along the lines of reducing water creeping in.
If it's the collar bolt that isn't fitting between the barrel and scope, you can just cant it a little bit to clear the barrel. I had to do that with my Tikka/Maven Hammy covers.I didn't have enough clearance between my scope and the barrel to be able to use them.
