If going with a short action you might be OK depending on the action. Here is on mounted on a short action Borden Alpine in low Talleys and another short action Defiance Rebel, also in low Talleys. In both I have just enough to get proper eye relief, on the Rebel had to turn the front ring around to make it work which is fine.

Thank you, it is a short lone peak razor but the rings are directional so I can’t flip the front like with Talley, otherwise would be good, here it is with the SHV
