Love my beartooths. They proved to be a good boot for just about everything. I need a wide boot for some foot issues and they worked great.

Hi,What is everyone experience with Schnees boots? Good, bad, ugly…
Looking at the Granite or Granite Pro
Message Schnees. They exchanged a pair I wore on several hunts/hikes.Hi,
Just tried some schnees granite pro and they were not for me. After 1 hike all off trail in steep rough terrain I’m trying to sell them. I was looking for a stiff boot and compared to what I was used to these weren’t. The construction, lacing system, lightness and everything of the boat was impressive but the upper support was too weak for my ankles when on side hills. This was a personal fit and also desire of what to expect from the boot. But I also was very aware of the pressure on the ankle when side hilling. If I would have had a heavy load it would have been escalated to type 2 maybe even type 3 fun. My buddy wore his schnees, different boot on the same hike and no problems. It’s always personal fit and need.
The granites have a stiffer shank and most would prefer that in extreme country. Are the beartooths worthy for northern sheep (Dall/stone) and mountain goat hunts say BC/yukon? Or do you step up to the granites?

Did he nixwax them?I’ve never owned a pair of their boots and am not at all surprised at how many people like and even love them. I personally watched a hunting buddy go through two pairs in two hunts-not seasons-hunts. Both pairs got his feet wet after walking in snow for a day. Same thing happened twice. I can’t tell you exactly what boot he bought from them but I can tell you he hunted many days and miles with wet feet in two separate trips and kept the complaints to a minimum. Overall probably one of the best boots available but seeing that will likely prevent me from ever buying a pair.
