Scheels Ruining Argali Sleeping Bags?

I am in the market for a down sleeping bag. Never owned one before. Went to Scheels in Dallas to look at some different brands. Saw that they had most of the bags hung up or in the non compressed storage bags on the shelf except the Argali’s. The Argali’s were crammed in the stuff sacks.

Like I said I am new to down bags but aren’t they supposed to be stored in the storage bags or hung up to not ruin the down? From posts on here I was under the impression they aren’t supposed to stay compressed for more than 3 days at a time?

When purchasing a down bag online how can you confirm it hasn’t been stored compressed for long periods? Or is this even something I should be concerned about?

Yes prolonged compression isn't good for sleeping bags but high quality down takes a very long time to lose its loft.

You could go straight to @Brad@Argali and ask him - how much of a problem it'll be for their bag.

I bet it doesn't really do anything.

Half the down products I've ever bought were vacuum sealed thin as paper for who knows how long before they got to me and I've never had an issue with losing loft.
