Anyone have experience or tried on both of these specific boots. I just received my triolets and they fit really well and are super comfortable for a brand new boot. Hug my foot well and have a nice amount of room in the toe box. Very impressed with the first hour I've had them on.

However, I have noticed a little bit of heel slip when squatting or jogging in place. In my experience, this isn't always a bad sign as sometimes it goes away as the boot breaks in more and doesn't always give me blisters, and some boots give me blisters even when I have no felt heel slip. I'm wondering if the trango alps will fit a little more snug and maybe have a tighter heel cup. Although Ive heard the trango alp isn't quite as stiff as the triolet. I know it's a very specific and individualized question but was hoping to get lucky.

Not the same boots. The Triolet is more of a boot than the Alp Evo and more comparable to the S Evo, which is what I wear early season. The Alps are a really light boot, and to me (I normally gravitate toward heavier boots) felt just a touch heavier than an approach boot. I liked them, but I really thought my foot would be more prone to pokes and rubs from rocks and root wads than with a beefier boot. The Alp is really more of a climbing boot than a hiking or load packing boot, from my take on it.

The s evo is an all synthetic boot correct? Is the fit of the S Evo in any way comparable to the triolet?

Ordered a pair of lowa cevedales just to compare. I've gotten the impression it's a little higher volume than the triolet but I've had some decent luck with their backpacking boots.

Also ordered a pair of scarpa kinesis after talking with the guy at L&S. Not as stiff as I was looking for but hopefully one of those boots will be a ringer.

Yep, synthetic. I'd say fit is comparable, maybe slightly wider on my foot than the Triolet.

I don't have any exp with the Scarpas, but I love the LaSportivas. The Trango Alp is my go to backpacking boot in steep terrain.

I picked up the new TRK this spring and like it as well. Even lighter than the ALP and less stiff. On the stiffness note, the ALP is stiff a$$ mountaineering boot. The new TRK feels more like a Solomon 4D. Light and just enough support. For a hunt where it's nott as steep the TRK might be perfect for me.

I am on the border of having to wear a wide and the standard sizes all fit me.

Cevedales are the winner. The heel cup was definitely the best fit and they felt good even before I got them laced up. Glad I'm done searching for boots.
