So, I want to get a light weight boot for warmer weather. I like a somewhat stiff boot. I narrowed it down to Scarpa Zodiak or Crispi Thor.
I own Scarpa Kenisis now and love them . Scarpa is a great boot.
Thoughts?

In for info as well. I just got the Scarpa Kinesis and REALLY like them, but a lighter weight pair would be nice for warmer weather.

Might check into the Scarpa Zanskar-there is some synthetic included on the boot that should make it lighter than the Kinesis.

I ran the thor in September last year. I liked its rigidity to weight ratio as well as it's breathability and quick-drying.

I haven't used the Thor hunting but I did try it on and talk to the guys about it. Kendall said if your hauling heavy pack out loads that the Thor wasn't the best option. More for early season scouting etc. Idk if Aron had troubles with them or not when he ran them in that application. Just relaying what the Crispi guys told me.

I was thinking of going with the Briksdale for hunting. I like the features of it. Plus it has insulation. My feet get cold when I sitting.
Any one use those last year? Any good?

I think the Thor hauled just fine over reasonably uneven terrain. I wasn't doing long hauls across scree, but if you can imagine your average wilderness packout, they did just fine. That said, I've never liked the rigidity of mountaineering boots for hunting applications. Kenetrek's in the late season, something lighter in September.

I'm reviewing them right now.. there is a sticky thread in the top of the footwear section. I'm using the Briksdal GTX (4 flex)... this year they also have an option for the Briksdal SF GTX (Stiff flex - 5 flex). I have the GTX 4 flex version and so far it's been exactly the boot I've been looking for. Another month and a half or so will tell. Even though they are insulated I'm about to take them to Mexico to see how much they breath.
