Scarpa Activ SL boot sale

Thanks for the heads-up! After 15 years of buying boots/shoes in size 13, I am realizing I am actually a 12.5, and have started searching out this size. I ordered a few days ago at $145, and another pair just now at $137. I figure between two sets I should be able to pick a left and right that feel just right, and return the other two. Thanks for the lead on what appears to be a great boot at a great price!

Don't get rid of your old ones. I am now in my 50's and gravity has pounded my feet a full size longer in the last few years. Have had to roll over a lot of shoes and boots!

Great advice! Never hurts to keep old boots/shoes around. Although ironically, my feet have shrunk since college (D1 athlete and manual labor beat them up vs. sitting at a desk all day now).

Just got mine in the mail. I ordered 1/2 size big taking a gamble on the bad ass sale. And.... I think I gambled right. They seem to fit me perfectly at 1st feel. I'm going to wear them to work tomorrow and see how they do.

With that being said, everything I've read about them says they fit pretty true to size so don't be worried. I also feel that my last boots were a hair small (12) which is another reason I went for these. I didn't realize it until 6 days into my Elk hunt last year and my 4th toe was pretty hammered, like, I don't think I could have hiked another day in them. And yes, they were broken in, but I never did any real mountain/hill climbing in them because where I live is flat lol..

The 12.5 will be real close for me; either perfect or too small. If it locks the heal in really well it should be fine. They are waiting for me at home, can't wait to leave the office! Glad that yours are feeling good on the initial impression, and thanks again for posting up this sale!

Np! I've had these boots in my sights for a while now.. They seem like a perfect Goretex alternative.. Still can't believe how cheap we got them for!

Good luck on the fit!

I was very suprised last night! I had never tried Scarpa's before, and I found there is way too much volume in the boot for my feet. I have a very flat, low volume foot, and even cinched down completely there was still more play than I want in HD backpacking/hunting boot. I tried them on side by side to my 12.5/46.5 Hanwags, and there was a huge diffenece. I still may keep the Scarpas for a late season (i.e. heavy sock) boot. Almost hard not to keep that quality of a boot for $135! They are very comfortable, just too much play for my foot. My buddy lucked out though; these boots fit him perfect and he for sure is keeping a pair.

Ahhh.. That sucks.. Well like you said, would probably be perfect with some heavy socks on later on!
