Got taken for $600 from a fella who hacked VooDoo6 account replying to a WTS post for a Tikka Hnt 26 chassis. I was able to turn up the phone number of the real VooDoo 6 member and confirmed he was in fact not the scumbag who got my money. I was playing fast and loose and saw his account had been around awhile, was "classified approved" and had dozens of positive feedback scores, I paid with F&F, my fault for not requesting a phone number and confirming identity.
Just an FYI for others, I did a trade plus cash for this transaction, he gave me an address to the Postal Plus in Dalton Gardens ID with a name of Tomas Tavares. Luckily I was able to do a package intercept before it was delivered so should be getting my scope back but the money is gone.
Hopefully this experience will help others avoid getting scammed by these POS people going forward.
