Also remember that PayPal doesn’t allow their platform for guns and/or gun related items. Even if you use PayPal goods and services, if they find out it’s for a gun or related item, your toast anyways. Our beloved RS is under attack by scammers constantly right now.
I'm skeptical of any seller now, (and note it's not the many, many good WKRers here!) it's the scammers impersonating them. These guys have gotten way more sophisticated, adding 'fees and G&S,' f2f, etc to their listings to make them appear more trustworthy and believable.
If one uses PP use G&S FOR EVERYTHING. I won't use Venmo or Zelle or other pay systems as they don't cover buyer if transaction is fraudulent.
Yep, 100%.Also remember that PayPal doesn’t allow their platform for guns and/or gun related items. Even if you use PayPal goods and services, if they find out it’s for a gun or related item, your toast anyways.
I have been buying and selling online for the better part of 20 years. It takes some serious trust for me to buy anymore.
PayPal has developed a bit of a reputation for denying such claims. I want through it myself. Luckily, I ran the payment through my American Express card. It took me 5 minutes to get reimbursement through Amex. In short, I don't trust PayPal, let alone some stranger on a forumYep, 100%.
I bought an as-new Swarovski EL Range here Friday night for $1500. The seller included 3% fees for G&S--his recommendation, which I appreciated (I wouldn't buy without it.) My total was $1545, I paid him. Meanwhile, the WKR that actually was the owner of that username promptly posted that he was scammed and not selling anything. I, and another member here both bought goods from his impersonator, both items Swarovski.
We'll get our money back, I was told 14 days, but for my part, just sitting on hold with PP yesterday listening to scores of Pakistanis in the background handling claims was a complete drag. It's all bad and not worth enduring ever again.
