People should delete pictures off of their old ads so these scammers don't have such unlimited access to real photos of products

A friend of mine once had a scammer send him photoshopped pictures from MY chassis ad from a year prior. That one was kind of funny

WTB adds are the best way to get scammed. I avoid them for that reason. There is a special place in hell for scammers.

I agree. But on local forums they're also one of the best ways to get exactly what you want, and usually at a decent price.
People see a WTB for an item they don't have listed but have long considered selling and it usually results in them saying "yeah I really don't need that thing anymore"

Anyway that's been my experience. But I completely agree on the national forums where face to face is not an option, it's an invitation to get screwed
