So, things are clear as a bell; do not go out and hunt near the remaining two weeks during dog season w/o a dog, unless you want a hunting out of season charge!

I’ve spoken to multiple regional level people with SCDNR, the “law” has been changed and it is what it is for right now. My understanding is DNR had hoped for different outcome from the legislators, but….. Meaning they request requested one thing, but got something different on the backend.

This is a double whammy for us in that we’re getting the pressure from deer hunters covering the mountain like locust during still-hunt week, and this change w respect to the dog season for the remaining two.

It is what it is, for now, just gotta roll with it.
