Looks to be the same insulation as the sleeping bag. Not sure what fabric they are using. Anyone have any info
where would you rank this next to the kelvin lite down/SG Grumman/kelvin lite as far as weight warmth. I have a puffy problem and need to get down to one or two. hahahaIt is super lite. It uses the silicon aerogel with the primaloft gold. It has a general release planned for July 19th. It is a nice early season option. The new Kelvin WS with down and primaloft looks like a winner even if it is a little heavy. I think that it will be a great later season option. Magically I bought both.
What? This jacket doesn't look like a late season option for anything. This is a lightweight layering piece from the specs and looking at how thin it is in the pics.So it is more of a late season sheep or moose jacket. You want warmest jacket for weight I would still go with the Kelvin lite down or the Arcteryx Cerium jacket which is a super warm super light insulator. The Aerolite is interesting in that it feels like the First Lite Encompagne 1.o but with insulation and baffling different. I will be a heck of a seller this year and is skookum enough to last many seasons. I am thinking that my magical discount skills may quickly depart with the purchase of SW by Johnnie Morris. I figured that I would get two more pieces of gear for my retirement which is in a couple of years.
Sincerely,
Thomas
