Savage 11/111 for buildm

I have the opportunity to pickup a Savage 11/111 DOA Hunter xp package gun for 300 bucks. Not really interested in the gun but the action for a build. I'm very familiar with the 110 but not the 11/111. Is there a noticeable difference in the actions and would it the 11/111 be good for a build? Thanks

I think the actions are the same actions.

Not sure the difference between the 110 and 111 actions. I can tell you that I’m putting a 6mm creedmoor barrel on my 11 action in the spring. May not be a tikka but it’s what I have. Should be a good shooter for the kids. And myself

The 110, 111, 114, 116 and the short versions are the same base action. The differences are stainless or blued, stock, or is it a package with scope.

Only thing you need to know is barrel shank size, large or small.

And also whether it is a top bolt release or bottom bolt release. That matters big time when talking about aftermarket stocks.
