Anyone here pick one up in 243? How's it shoot? I'm deciding between one of these in 243 or a Ruger Gen 2 in 6 creed.

I’d be shocked if it didn’t shoot 95 NBT or TMK really well, but I don’t have one in .243.

My 9.3x62 Sauer might be the most accurate and least picky rifle I own. It just stacks everything I feed it until I start getting punchy. I am currently having it cut and threaded.

My 6.5 CM is a bit more picky than I would like, but still puts ammo it likes into consistent 1.75” groups. Always seems to do about eight shots in a tight sub-MOA group with one or two that open up the cone. I am going to have to reload for that one.

The Sauer 243 is a 1/10 twist rate so not good for the heavy bullets if thats what you wanted to shoot. Sounds like you should hold off a bit and wait for the tikka 6 creedmoor. Or if you don't want to wait tikka 243 1/8 twist. Or get a Sauer 100 in 6.5
That's where I'm at right now. I'm leery of the 1:10 twist in the Sauer. I have a Sauer in 6.5cm and love it. The price is just so appealing in the Sauer. I own several Ruger Americans and love them as well. I know they don't get much love here but they are tack drivers for me.

I'm just not sure the 6 creed is needed for my intended uses here in Michigan. I figured the 243/6 cm would be great for my kid to shoot and a great wood chuck gun.

FWIW, Sierra is conservative with their twist rate recommendations. They told me the 6.5 Sauer in 8.66 twist would probably not stabilize the 130 TMK. But I get full stability, at sea level and 30° confirmed all the way out to 460 yd.

There are guys getting stability with a 95 TMK in 10 twist barrels out west. What's your elevation?
