What am I missing about these rifles, as the prices have me wondering is this an insanely good deal or is EO giving them away because they have too? I have no use for a 6.5cm but at $400 that is reason enough to have a need for one…. https://www.eurooptic.com/sauer-100-classic-xt-65-creedmoor-22-1-87-1-2-x28-bbl-rifle-s1s65ct
I have about 1300 of the classic xt 6.5 CM lol
Thats why they are so cheap
Did a big buyout from Blaser USA, got a good deal, so you guys get a good deal

Touted as very good it seems, nice to see.

I got an m12 years ago during the minox/blaser deal and didn’t love it compared to my tikka, but the 100 seems like a solid upgrade. I ended up selling the m12 because I couldn’t find a local smith that would chop and thread the barrel.

I would ask a few questions:

Is it what you want without mods (threads/barrel length/stock)

If it’s not, figure out how to do those mods

I’m sure there are smiths that will chop and thread these with the receiver attached, or have experience removing and re installing. That Australia smith didn’t make it seem terribly easy but doable, so I’d imagine just doing it receiver on is easier.

Seems like a super good deal if you don’t need to mod it, if you do I’d just do your homework first.

I DO love how easy it is to buy tikka barrels and prefits and swap in my garage. But if that’s not the type of gun owner you are then it’s not as big of an advantage. My BIL wants a handy rifle, factory wood, no mods, no cam and wants to hunt with it every year. Perfect for someone like that.

Got mine in 6.5 creedmoor on Friday, mounted a Trijicon scope and went to the range. Went with 2 boxes of sellier & bellot 140gr sp’s and sig sauer platinum hunter 140gr. Shot a total of 60 rounds. The first box of sellier was perfect, and stacking at 100 yards. Shot the platinum hunter and my groups were a little bigger(still inside a 2” circle at 100yds). However, the second box of sellier had some issues ejecting spent brass. Not every single round, maybe 11/20. I’m hoping it’s the cheap ammo and not the gun. Anyone else’s finicky with ammo? What hunting rounds are shooting good for yall?

Mine does not like Hornady CX.

Are these the threaded or unthreaded model?

Also, can you confirm whether or not they have a plastic safety as mentioned below, if they don’t , this is an insane deal.

I just got one about two weeks ago. It has a threaded barrel. Not sure what the safety is made out of, but a magnet does not stick to mine. Personally, I don't care because it doesn't feel like it's cheap or somehow inferior.

Well thanks to this thread I bought one of those $399 6.5 creeds. Looking forward to getting my hands on it, seeing what kind of groups I can get out of it but most importantly smoking a whitetail with it.

Well, figured I would try a little load development for this 6.5prc sauer. My rifle had an extremely tight neck, .293, factory federal would not chamber, hornady would but did n't shoot great. Settled on a load of n565, 58.1, Peterson brass, cci 250, 143 eldx average 2950, results.
A little room for improvement but not bad average half moa
