Seems to be based around “access for all” vs limiting access to a “few” (aka people who can hike 15 miles)

The proposed additions to existing wilderness look fairly small, but we'll need all the clean water and open space we can get by 2050.

Not sure. Sneffles area has mining operations. I know that The heli skiing operation out of Telluride has permits as well.

Everyone feels entitled to everything these days........especially if they can't currently access it. That's what makes wilderness great......it keeps some people out so that it's not like every other piece of public land we have. Exclusion isn't always a bad thing.

That and people view access as their ability to drive their pickup to the top of every mountain.
