Not sure. i wouldn't hesitate to call them though and ask. Regardless of a discount they are good guys to talk too if you have questions, and they wont make you feel like you wasted their time or yours.
I have the Cheyennes and they are a super comfortable boot although they are pretty soft and compare to a light hiker. If you ever tried any of the lowas they are somewhere between a Renegade and Ranger. They are the most comfortable boot I have worn and would work great as long as you are not hitting serious country or looking for something with a ton of support/stiffness.
As mentioned I wanted something with more support and stiffness, and tried to order the Mtn Lites from L&S but they no longer carry. They sent me the Cevedale instead and I have only worn them in the house so far but they feel incredibly light and fast but with excellent support and a fairly stiff sole. I wanted to like the Salomons as well but they just don't work with my foot.
Hanwag is on promotive, so you can get real good discount that way. They don't have much inventory on the website but I bet if you call hanwag they would honor their promotive discount ordering through them.
Just called hanwag (good idea Pyro! I didn't think of trying to get my primitive price direct through them), and have to call back Monday morning to talk to the sales guy who can help me out.
Riplip,
How do the Clevedales compare to the Cheyennes?
Cevedale is a much more serious boot as it is a mountaineering boot thus pretty stiff sole. The Cheyennes just aren't enough boot for off trail in the mountains. Once again super comfortable but sole is fairly soft.
Well just ordered a new pair of Hanwags! Got the Tatras instead of the Dakotas because of availability. From the specs and my promotive discount I pulled the trigger. Let y'all know how it goes when they get here! Thanks for the help guys.
Well I got in my Hanwag Tatras last week off promotive! First impression is they are badass. Much stiffer than the Dakotas were but with a relatively flexible sole. I don't feel like they limit any of my foots movement but my feet feel really solid in there. I'm a fan of how few seems they have which in my experience has always been a longevity issue with past boots.
They are nice and light and I've got maybe 5 miles on them so far and they are feelin good. Happy with the decision for sure.
