Correct, not sure what the difference is other that it appears to be a little lower cut. Write up states they are multi day backpacking boots. Look just as rugged to me if not more so than the 4d.

Just bought a pair of Conquests today.Tried the 4D on as well but wanted something a bit lighter for warm weather training .The conquests should be a nice all around hiking boot the 4D more of a heavier pack alpine boot.I have Meindles for the big load really steep stuff.
