I am leaning towards one of these boots does anyone have experience with them? i wear size 11 in Salomon boots, do these both run true to size? I have read a couple places to go up in size with the cubes? Thanks for any advice and help.

I have the salewa crow and the la sportiva trango trk. Also a couple pairs of scarpa boots. Salewa and sportiva are both size 46. Salewa calls that a 12, sportiva calls it a 12.5. scarpas are 46.5 and that box also reads 12.5. I am sitting here now in some Salomon size 12s that also read 46 2/3....? I usually consider myself a size 12 across the board.

It's not very universal sizing depending on the brand. I'd say the salewas are true to size and you'd probably want to size up by a half in the sportivas....and order from somewhere that will exchange....

How do you like the crows?how narrow do they run?

I really like them. I put probably close to 300 miles on them last year (first salewas I have had) and wore them from early September thru December. No issues, no break in for me, and great stability/stiffness/comfort.

I have narrow feet and with the modular insoles they come with, I got them dialed in nicely. I have them at about the middle width that I can get with the stock insole parts.

I'll buy some again. These look like they have at least another season or two in them. On that note, I train in my sportivas and have probably 1200 miles on them in two years. They are well built also. I prefer the fit of the salewas, though.

Salewa rapace or crow. Did rainier in the crows. Climbed wi3 in both. Both are good down to 15 degrees for an overnighted or two but wouldn’t want to be out longer than that in cold temps. On rainier I didn’t use approach shoes-very comfortable. For more comfort order a half size larger and add padded insole.
