Does anybody know whether the S20 6.5 PRC is a long action or short action, or possibly custom length in between?

I see they have iinterchangeable bolt faces so that makes me think maybe they sell the 6.5 PRC as a long action.

Reason for asking is that I might want to try longer bullets. I recently tried to re-barrel my Sako 85 300 WSM to a 6.5 PRC but the cartridge was too tight a fit to be practical.

I know that Fierce Fury and Edge are modelled off the Sako 85 action and they decided (I think) to make their 6.5 PRC a long action because of this. I've seen lots of forum debates about whether 6.5 PRC should be a short or a long action.

I can't find a Sako contact to ask this question to them directly.

Sako is owned by Beretta USA so Beretta customer service covers Sako.

I know this is an old post but hope it helps others make a decision on this rifle. This is rounds 41, 42, and 43 at 300 out of my S20 6.5 creed with factory 140 bthp. Rifle definitely has potential.

Any aftermarket replacement stock options for the S20?

Nope. I actually bought it because it had less options for me to screw with…..I can’t seem to leave rifles alone.

Anybody change the barrel on a S20? I have one in 6.5 CR and was thinking of carbon fiber 18in barrel so I can set it up with a suppressor. I don't shoot over 500 yards with it, so I don't need the length of the 24in barrel that it has stock.
