Sako 90 Reviews/experiences

I've been using S20 in 300WM and 90 Peak in 30-06.

S20 had feeding issues from the start but 90 feeds flawlessly.

Both shot mediocre with factory ammo but I literally tried one load and went straight to reloading. I managed to get S20 shooting about 0.5 MOA with 180gr Sierra TGK's @ 3150 fps (5shot groups). With the 90 I'm usually just under 1MOA with the same 180gr Sierra TGK's @ 2850 fps but I didn't really bother finding the right load as hunting season was starting. Good enough for now.

Not the most precise rifles I used, both Sauer and Blaser shot a lot better, but for a lightweight hunting rifle I'm fine with it.
That’s disappointing to hear. I’ve been eyeing the S20

I’ve got a Sako 90 Bavarian in 6.5x55 I’ve been absolutely smitten with. It’s very accurate with everything I’ve put in it, including very cheap PPU stuff. Shot it out to 685 yards and didn’t have any issues whatsoever spotting impacts. Feeding and extraction/ejection is flawless and the set trigger is almost too light.
I did have it shortened because the factory LOP is 14.5” and I’m too short for that.

Love my Sako 90 peak 308, now we can hunt .22 cal so can’t stop thinking about the 223 so I can shoot a 90 peak even more. Even though likely do most hunting with 308. Just excuses to say to myself I need an identical ride in 223. Also have tikkas and like them a lot but it’s not love.

Would love to see some pics of that peak 233 someone has here! The magazine, action...🙏
