Thanks for the pic. Makes the trigger reach on the 90 seem longer than I anticipated just based off experience with the tikka stocks. Bummer.

@mxgsfmdpx I’m considering a 20” 6.5CM Quest. Are these 5/8”-24 or M15x1 with an adapter? Stainless with a cerakote finish?

I think they’re 5/8-24 and stainless/cerakote from my research but hoping someone can confirm.

For anyone interested, I called/ emailed EuroOptic today and asked about the barrel threads. Currently they only have M15x1 options. He told me as soon as those sold out they’d get another shipment in, which would be 5/8-24.

I’m going to wait because I don’t want to have to use an adapter. If anyone knows of any in stock with 5/8-24 threads let me know please.

Edit to add, they also offered a discount when I emailed asking questions. Worth a shot if you’re looking to order one.

saw a you tube review on one of these and the rifle seems very impressive for what it is. Anyone have real worl d experience with one of these? $4000+ seems pricey but???

Sorry I can’t give you a first hand account. But I can say they increased a rifle’s price point by nearly $2000 because they integrated a picattiny mount on the receiver,
double plunger ejectors,cut back ejection port, adjustable trigger weight pull(nice feature), and GRS stock. A good stock which they’ve offered prior to the 90 release.
I’m not convinced it’s worth it. I hear they are shooters though. Frankly, the better value to me will be to get a Hunter or better yet a stylish Bavarian with iron sights and their original Opti Lock receiver. For $2200 you get an heirloom rifle that’s as close to an old school beauty - probably weigh in somewheres around 9lbs with scope.
At $4000 it’s time then for me to consider a Sako TRG or go straight to a GA Precision for a more money.
Wish I could’ve been more helpful - occasionally I’ll offer food for thought comments when I see people having similar considerations as me. Good luck in your purchase. The Backfire guy on YouTube likes the Quest. He ended up with a tack driver he claims.

My money has been spent elsewhere, but I think the answer is the low priced Sako 90 put in a walnut Rokstock cut and threaded for under 4K.

Is the stock inlet for the t3 and the S90 the same or do they offer both options in the rokstock?

The inlet's are different and S90's have various action sizes.

The walnut RS's are inlet by an individual so they can be done for any action...if the gentleman is willing to try.

Another possible option might be Echelon's CF Versa. I can't speak for them but they were willing to inlet for a custom AICS bottom metal for a Tikka for me. I've been considering asking if they would inlet for the S90 short action. It is very close to the Tikka action length. The Peak's stock is very nice, extremely well built, but after shooting the RS, the CF Versa, and the Mt Tracker the difference in an inline with bore butt/negative comb really stands out.
