Figured most of the runners would see this here. What holsters are ya'll using while trail or street running?

I saw in this thread chest holsters for backcountry running alot of people mentioned the Hill People Gear chest rig. Downside I see with chest packs is slow to draw, but upside is some protection from sweat.

I've also considered a belly band one like this , but figure it would get sweaty and might be irritating

Anyone try an ankle holster?

I have a Razco for my 43x on bino harness, and have the strap to run it alone. I really only need something for a LCP though. I guess I'll have to give the Razco a try and see.

My first HPG was for this very purpose back in 2011. I still use it today. You get used to the draw, and realistically it isn't any slower than a belly band or regular holster if you practice. I carry a P365 and the runners kit bag holds it with my phone enough that it's not bouncy while running.

HPG took a little getting use to for me (bounce/chafe) but I think I’ve got it how I want it now. It’s perfect size for the stuff you would normally keep in a pocket plus a pistol.

Love my mid sized Hill People Gear. Comfortable carry for Glock 20 and down. Discreet on the trail or river and I with proper placement of the zippers, you can “rip” and draw pretty fast.

I do not have such a holster. Just want to thank someone for finally using the word “running” in an appropriate way and proper context….

Check out the Rowan Holster from Desert Island Gear at DI-GEAR.COM
Made in USA and specifically for the Kuiu Pro harness.
