Okay, what are the best UL options for the following R&G hunts? You are hauling only the following:
Water bladder
Foxpro caller/deek or big spotting scope/tripod
Kill kit
Foul weather gear (insulating mid-layer and/or rain gear)
Med kit
Helinox chair
Headlamp
Flashlight
Snacks
Shooting sticks on occasion

Leaning towards a hip pack as these are strenuous, fast moving hunts. Ability to strap 60lb meat bag on a plus.

Stone glacier r3 3300 its a sweet bag. I upgraded to the r3 5900 for more space (multi day) but for a run and gun pack i think that or the avail are pretty nice setups

Also look at the kiowa its got a built in spotter pocket and is described to be designed for exactly the application you speak of. Its an internal frame pack with full belt but is still compatible with all of the SG frames if you want.

I’d use my Spike Camp or Tarryall for stuff like that. I think the Door Gunner is a hair small for the list you’ve provided.

I have almost the same gear list as you, when I predator hunt. I have the Eberlestock H2 Gunrunner and its my favorite pack. Has the built in scabbard for my rifle which allows me to go hands free until I get to my next set.

I have almost 100% of the same gear you listed - including the Foxpro caller for my predator hunts ... I’d say Mystery Ranch Pintler all day long. Also use the same pack for Elk during the rut R&G style. Good luck!!

I love my Kifaru Door Gunner, but it's a bit small for what you describe. Once the bladder is in the bag, there's not really room for anything but some light clothing. I'll likely try a stone glacier next

Why not use your Kifaru cargo panel on a duplex? Maybe add a guide lid or a spotter pocket. Would haul your stuff and make the 60lb bonus pounds pretty easy.

I'm going to be trying a Kifaru Shape Charge for this style of bag.

Still not too sure if it's going to pack out 80 pounds easily, but it should be perfect for everything else. I tried my brothers 14r bunch before going this route, just didnt get to try it with real heavy weights in it.

That's what I have been using (guide lid and large pouch on CP) but in warm weather my back sweats and I am hoping to find a hip pack that'll run cooler for these aggressive hunts. The Kifaru I'm using works. Just curious if there isn't something smaller and better. The MR Pop-up is interesting but looks like it would still run warm on my back.

I use my MR Pintler for similar situations. If you wanted a dedicated pack for just what you are describing a MR Pop up would also be a good option.

Woah, I missed the part where you wanted a hip pack. 60 pound meat bag and hip pack seem like polar opposite needs.

Check out Hill People Gear. I'm using their Tarahumara. From what I remember of their options they make a hip pack that can integrate with a big belt (I think a Kifaru would work) and it wouldn't be a stretch to combine it with their shoulder straps which are amazing. Pretty solid ventilation and decent weight carry.

Maybe try out the new Lite frame? It has the exposed back, should be better for ventilation. You will lose the upper attachment point ( still can't believe Kifaru didn't add that!!!!!), or try out that quarter panel too? That and a guide lid would cover you.

A badlands 2200 isn't a bad pack either for 60lbs.

I used to have a eberlestock X2 that was pretty damn cool- just lacked load lifters. But could handle 60lbs well too. Again, not super light empty though.

Have an old X1, it's a heavy piece of crap and the scabbard is BS. I prefer a Gunbearer.
