Rugged Alaskan360 vs Alaskan360 ti vs other

I'm just smart enough to become a "dunning-kruger".

I would assume ThunderBeast came to those conclusions after some testing? It would make sense to be on the side of 7RM due to pushing similar velocities or even faster. I wonder if there is a math equation out there to calculate muzzle pressures from initial chamber pressures. Where I get lost is how does this really play out with the smaller powder charges. I also wouldn't be surprised if it get grouped with magnum cartridges by manufacturers to "play-it-safe".

Quick load or Gordons graphs pressure from chamber to muzzle so a guy could look at that.

Ran some numbers through GRT with some tested load data and some not tested. I thought the results were interesting.

300WM: @22" = 18k @16" = 26k
30-06: @16" = 19.5k
280ai(7BC load data and pressures): @17.5" = 20.5k @16" = 23K

I ran quite a few other cartridges but these three I thought said a lot. Going off AB Suppressors minimum barrel length specifications a 30-06 is delivering more pressure that a 300 WM. These of course are all hypothetical numbers from GRT and have not been proved or tested. I was using 280ai for my 7BC test numbers with federal load data. Moving the barrel from 16" to 18" significantly dropped the muzzle pressures. The 18" barrel dropped it to around 20k in that specific simulation. I am glad I went a little longer with the 17.5" and probably wish I did the 18" just to drop those muzzle pressures for more reliable suppressor use. Seems like 18" is the sweet spot for intended use of the 7BC.

I and some friends have the Alaskan 360 Ti and love it! I use it on various 338's and my son had it on his 30-06 for moose season this year. I'll be getting a couple more. I wouldn't just follow the naysayers... especially if shooting a 338 like i do. But if shooting a 7mm and don't have anything larger why would you want a 360? I like that i can run it on any of my platforms so I don't really need other cans... it just depends on your situation.
