I bought an in box M77 Mark II with a paddlestock yesterday that is in flawless condition. It’s been in the box for 31 years. It was manufactured in 1991 and to my surprise, has the push feed bolt. Apparently they were push feed for the first couple of years before Ruger went CRF with these. Does anyone know if the push feed option adds value to the rifles? I’d assume so, since they were only made for a year or two. The whiteish lines on the butt are from the pawn shop rubber band that held the price tag on. Came right off. I grew up hunting with paddlestocks and really have always liked...

These are neat guns. That looks like a controlled round feed though. Maybe pull the bolt and take a photo of it

Already did! Push feed on the left next to a CRF that my buddy owns. Adds to the collectability since these were only produced for a short while!

Those bolts look the same. Both have the CRF claw extractor

I appreciate the free bumps but this IS a push feed bolt, not CRF. Notice the lip on the bottom that prevents a shell from sliding up? Do some googling and you will find that for a while, Ruger would machine those off for customers to convert them to CRF.

If you’d like to make an offer on the rifle, I will send you a video of a shell being fed into the chamber! Otherwise, thanks for the bumps!

Yes I was looking at that bump and wondering if I was seeing that right. Very interesting. A push feed with a claw extractor. Thanks for sharing

Here’s a couple photos of how it feeds a round. As it chambers, you can hear the extractor click over the rim. I will add that it feeds and functions flawlessly!

Do you know how many rounds have been fired through this rifle?

When I purchased it there was light fouling in the barrel, but virtually no signs of it having ever left the box. I’m guessing that light fouling was from being shot at the factory. Then I put around 60 rounds through it.
