I had this rifle built a while back, worked up some loads for it, shot a few deer with it, shot fantastic, nothing not to like. As new rifles come in, it slowly found its way to the back of the safe, now it has been a while since it has been used. Looking to part with it so someone else can enjoy it.
The rifle started out as a .308 Win, I had McGowen rebarrel it to .250 Savage Ackley Improved 1:7" twist, 22" long.
I am including Lee .250 Savage dies, Redding .250 Savage A.I. dies, 100 pieces unfired .250 Savage Brass, 57 fireformed, and a handful of primed fireformed, and twice fired. Also includes a new box of Hornady 117 gr BTSP for fireforming and about 40 Hammer 95 gr HHT bullets.
Looking back at my notes I was getting about 3250 FPS with the Hammers using Sta-Ball Match powder. The barrel has about 150 rounds through it, 100 of those being fire form loads.
