Ruger American Rings

My 11 year old got a Ruger American Compact in 7mm-08 for Christmas and Santa mounted up a weaver v series 2-10×38mm. Watching the boy shoot yesterday, the scope is a bit high with the current rings.

Anybody have Talley one pieces on a similar setup? Will low, or xtra low work?

Talley Lows are pretty low. Had to modify these to get the scope more forward to my liking.

Im using Talley lows on a American Ranch with a Leupold 40mm objective scope. Plenty of room for a scope cover and good alignment to my eye.

I use lows on my American predator with a 3-9x40 vortex and they work great.
