Ruger American Predator 6.5

I picked the rifle up today, and will begin to tinker with it here and there but i will be too busy to mount a scope and shoot it until May or so. I think I am going to try to stiffen the forend of the stock also. I will get two thin aluminum bars and install them each side of center and epoxy them in. I dont want to fill the entire forend with material because I dont want to add much weight to it. Whenever I get to starting this, I can post some pictures of it.

Oddly, these American Predators don't seem to be victims of their own stocks. I have a hunch if you shot it before and after stock modification you wouldn't notice a difference.

I found the mag well piece. Looks like it could swap out on the newer versions. The first American I had wasn’t set up quite the same. Also I just realized that on my 204 it has the bolt cuts for the AR mags. So I could’ve bought the MDT chassis built for those. Which would have been 1000x better than the aics mags.

That looks like the bottom piece on mine. Maybe it’s worth looking into getting that to use AICS mags.
