Speaking from experience... I have purchased and mounted my .300 WM in a Sharps Bros... They are a chassis made for a 700 Rem. action and half-ass made to work with the RA LA. The tang safety is not operational with your shooting hand's thumb unless you release your hand from the grip. I sent it back the next day. I then purchased a Bell & Carlson Sporter stock. Very rigid and well designed. I'm waiting on the Salmon Creek Hunter Rail to arrive and mount. About $100 less than the Sharps. If you're lucky, you may be able to find a chassis made by Brownell's, but good luck... Downside of all available stocks, they are all designed to only use the factory plastic mags.
Got the short SCS installed and it's extremely solid.Good info, thanks for sharing.
