Rubber boots for spring Peninsula Brown bear.......

If you are gonna do rubber boots, please look at Lacross Alpha Burley pros. They are a fantastic boot.
They are alright if your fine with getting 2 years out of them. Mine always get breaking rubber on the sides of my foot. I sprayed mine with flex seal to see how it holds up, probably going to try grundens deviation talls next.

Though we weren’t bear hunting, but caribou and moose hunting, near Naknek Alaska, I used sorrel rubber boots, I think the La Cross knee high with extra felt liners would have been better then my calf boots, we had 1-3 inches of standing water everywhere we went and avoided any boggy areas.
Extra alpaca, yak hiking weight socks , extra felt in the day pack are a must IMO
Best of luck on your journey,
Take more pocket money then you expect, because king salmon and Naknek
Are two of the most expensive places I have been in Alaska and I am sure the farther villages away from them only gets more expensive .

That’s wild I’ve had 2 pairs in 4 years n have one pair away, still being hunted today
Wish mine lasted longer, they are the most comfortable rubber boot i have owned. I do wear them a ton though. Maybe wearing them around and in the saltwater dries them out quicker and makes them more prone to cracking.
