I have an xlr element chassis now and I would like to make it nicer for off hand shooting. The way I see accomplishing this is a rounded rail section that attaches to the arca. I am picturing either a 3d printed segment or machined. If this already exists please let me know. Or if this is something someone can help me design I would appreciate any help.

I don't have a link at the moment but if you search "Arca rail cover" they pop up near the top. Its a rubber rail cover that pops over the dove tail.
Well that's getting there. I contacted S2delta to see if they have what I am looking for or if they can point me in the right direction.

It would be fairly easily to print up something like this is you know the dimensions of what you are after.

Ok, I can draw up on paper what I am looking for easy as can be because I did drafting way back. The building on the computer is a whole different thing entirely. DM me if that is something you would be willing to help out with designing or if you know of someone I can pay to help design this.

Yeah I can help. Draw a cross section of what you want, I'll just draw it quick in fushion360 and extrude it the length you're interested in. Fusion can easily add chamfer/radius to the edges as desired to to round/soften things.

I started a thread a week or so ago and got very little recommendations. I am interested in what @pods8 (Rugged Stitching) can make. Years ago he made me a few items for my pack and they were all top notch.
I'm not branching off into something else, haha. I'm not sewing currently as my kids are in activities and I have other project irons in the fire.

But I have a 3d printer that I use for tinkering and various personal projects. What the OP needed sounds pretty straight forward in fusion360 (modeling software) and to print out so I'm willing to help.

What was it you were trying to accomplish in your thread?
