Well I have to say after watching how to hunt.com, I spent more money than needed of clothes trying to get matchy lol than optics.
I have very good binos and middle of the road spotter. If I was to do it over again I would buy best optics , back pack and boots first

I guess it depends on how you hunt. I'm a bowhunting elk hunter and I rarely use my optics, but I'm in my clothes 16-17 hours every day. They better be comfortable. Or better yet.......I better be comfortable.

I agree with the “first” part. I believe start with boots and a good base layer. I’ve been on multiple sheep hunts where the hunger shows up in head to toe brand new “X” company clothing, with horrible footwear for the terrain. And most have been miserable at some point during the hunt because of it. I love good clothing, but footwear is extremely important for hunting the mountains.

Also depends on what type of hunting you do. Tree stand hunting doesn't require good boots or the best optics, but mountain hunting does.
