Enjoyed your story, thanks for sharing. I went through a similar story myself. F cancer! I’d like to hear more about that model 70. Caliber?
I do wish I knew a little more about it, I’ll have to track down some stories. It’s in a 270, can’t remember the year off the top of my head. I don’t think it’s a pre 64

Cinnabar, thanks for sharing such an inspiring story of your hunt with your father. It's evident he did a special job raising a wonderful son. You get to live the remainder of your life knowing you finished strong in your Father's eyes.

Man, your dad is one bad dude. To fight cancer off for so long, have it come back, have brain surgery and then go on to kill a hammer of a sheep?? They don’t make them like him anymore and his strength is something all of us should aspire to have throughout our lives.

I’m sorry for your loss man. Stay strong for your pops through your hunting/life adventures as it sounds like he wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
he certainly had some mental fortitude. I definitely wouldn't be able to do the things he did if I was placed in his shoes at this point in my life.
