Rolling duffle bag recommendations

Anyone have recommendations on a very large rolling duffle bag that isn’t Sitka/Kuiu prices? Looking for something that’s 150L minimum. Doesn’t need to be waterproof or super fancy. Just something to transport hunting clothes. Thanks

I had a pair of Ogio 9800 rolling bags. 120ish L each. Those are good size bags. Bigger than that, I know some traveling business folks that carry a lot of gear to trade shows and they use golf hard cases.

My Ogios cost maybe $50 locally and were barely used.

I am very impressed with our north face base camp rolling duffel. I bought it used on eBay, don’t know how I would feel about the value if I was paying retail.

Rolly bags are a pet hatred of mine. Just be healthy enough to carry it. Well, if you once hunted mammoths with sharp sticks like @TaperPin a rolly bag is forgivable for an old man.

I have traveled a lot.
My favorite so far is the Dakine split roller bag
Not sure if mine is the 85l or 110l
But this bag took at least 1 year of 4-5 flights per month and is still in great shape.

Not what I’d use for hunting. But for checked bag airline travel for work it’s great.

I've had an Eagle Creek No Matter What rolling duffle that's been pretty solid for several years of use. I think the biggest size is 130L, but that's still a pretty big bag. I think it should meet your requirements pretty well.

Not in line with your budget or lack of need for waterproofness but my favorite rolling duffle I've ever used is the Ortlieb waterproof roller. That thing was awesome on an AK moose hunt this year.

Can't buy them any more, but the old Cabelas Ripcord XL rolling duffel holds my 35" Axle to Axle bow in a soft case (it has large diameter cams), arrows, a Kifaru backpack, all hunting clothes, boots, etc. Roller weighs 10'#s leaving about 40#s for gear without getting into overweight issues. And I've had 70#s in it going on a February Polar bear hunt where the airline allowed that weight limit. It holds a lot!

Its help up well on quite a few trips to northern Canada as well as an Australian trip to the Northern Territory Outback. Well worth the $169 sale price I paid for it 8 years ago.

I used to travel quite a bit for work, mostly internationally, around 225-230 days a year. I used a north face roller and a more recently a mystery ranch roller. I no longer travel so I don’t use these anymore, but they were sure handy when I did travel.

I saw the comment about carrying your luggage, which gave me a chuckle. Airports are big and busy and carrying a bag that’s 40+ pounds is unrealistic. It would be like carrying a bag instead of a pack on a hunt.

It’s funny you guys bring up an old man because it’s literally for my old man . I thought for Christmas I might try to find him an upgrade to 40 year old duffle bag that’s held together with duct tape. He’s 80 years old so I know we don’t have many more trips together.

Does it have to be a duffle? At 150L capacity a footlocker sounds like a reasonable option. Not like you can use it as a carry on anyway.

I wonder how big hockey bags are? I haven't used one in over 20 years but I remember them being huge and I imagine some have wheels at this point.
