Would love to watch a real college football playoff with 8 to 16 teams instead of a popularity contest that is determined by the popular kids. Would Bama still be there every year? Maybe, but I would respect the process a whole lot more.

Last night was hardly a game. Loved watching LSU last year, and Alabama looked every bit as good as LSU did last season in terms of dominance this year.

The basketball tourney has 68 teams. And people still complain about the last team that got in or didn't get in.

A&M should have been in, but realistically, to the comments above, who else would have been in an 8 to 16 team playoff that would have made a big splash?

I would love to see it too, don't get me wrong, as there would be more college football to watch, but when it comes down to the teams for this season, who would have been in? Cincinnati had UGA on their heels but then gave it up in the end due to depth of roster.

Pac 12 is a joke so don't mention any of them
No other team in the ACC would be worth putting in there this year.

You also have to remember these guys are trying to go to the NFL. More games equals more opportunity to get hurt. Hell, the Heisman winner broke some million dollar fingers last night.

And it is the same in football every year. A bunch of one loss teams arguing that they got screwed. Here's and idea, win all your games, you are in. No arguing, no popularity contest. College football, the only sport where the regular season still matters.

A&M had their shot like everyone else. Beat Bama, win the rest and the SEC. You would have been in.

I can't stand Alabama but at this point all you can do is tip your cap. For everyone else complaining, just beat them and your problem is solved. They are good and keep showing that year over year like the Patriots for most of the 2000's. Game respect game.

Auburn fan here but not delusional enough to deny Alabama would dominate anyone they played this year.


I hate stirring the pot but there is kind of a playoff. It’s called the sec season.

Im NOT a Bama fan....but that could be one of the top 5 teams ever in college ball.

I cant believe how badly they punished Ohio State. I also cant believe Ohio State didnt make adjustments....you cant guard the Heisman Trophy winner one on one....poor coaching.

My only solace is ND held them to their lowest point total.
