RokStok

They must have beefed the current Rokstok up. Mine is the original pre order. 36 oz with altitude bottom metal, action screws, leather cheek, wooden 1.5” spacer, lug, pic/Spartan rail.
This is one of mine from the very first pre-order. Its 3b contoured r700 sa. I'd say its on the lighter side for sure. My rokstok lite on order will probably be heavier 😆

Rokstok just arrived. Got it with Tikka CTR inlet and Sendero barrel profile. Trinity front and 4" ARCA segment and had it painted in Finnish m05 camo. Installed a stainless Tikka CTR 20" Bottom metal fit was tight and recoil lug in the stock fit perfectly into the action. Haven't shot it yet but everything seems perfect so far.

The light green is too bright for true M05- but…. That looks great. M05 is a great camo.

UM did a very nice job. I thought about asking for ROK Granite B but I figured digital camos would be too tough to hand cerakote and I really like all the M05 variants. I'm impressed with the stock. It;'s such a great example of form following function.

Just unpacked my stock. I had to apply a lot of force to get my ctr dbm in place. Once assembled, I have to shove the mags up in with force to acquire latch. Requires physically pulling mag free from the ctr dbm. The bottom metal inlet on mine, is def too tight. Makes me wonder if it was test fit prior to shipping. These issues should been noticed very easily. None these issues apparent in the oem ctr stock. This is a 223 ctr, I dont think that's make any difference.

Anyways, emails sent to UM, will likely be riding brown truck back to Idaho once return label is in hand. A few days short of 5 months from order date, to delivery........

CTR DBMs will always be tighter-fitting than regular Tikka bottom metals in a Rokstok. We have to mill out areas of the inlet for proper fitment. Each manufacturer of CTR components will have slightly different external mag dimensions, so there will be some variance. We do test fit DBMS and actions on each Rokstok before shipping. If you send us the bottom metal and mag, we will cut it to the exact specification of your magazine.

It is a great looking rifle indeed. Good decision with the pattern and colors.

ok, reading fatigue but request for some advice.

I got a T3x Superlite (fluted SS barrel) in 308 - Silencer, weighs around 7lb12oz. Goal is to take it on a mountain hunt at some point. Took it to the range to sight in the scope. I was pretty surprised at the vertical jump from the barrel every shot - I have fired a handful of other people rifles but never felt a jump like this. Despite this decently consistent at 100 yds. At 200yd some ammo fairly consistent and others not. Had a bullet casing split on the side near the rim - bit of powder burn out the back around the bolt - and called it a day (after about 30 rounds).

The vertical jump just made it not feel controlled. I am thinking of getting the Rostock to improve this as the recoil jump seems to be the first thing people mention about it. Also interested in a recoil pad with how light this is.

As to what to get - Tikka T3X action, Factory Sporter contour? Any rails, sling studs, etc that you would advise getting? I would almost prefer bare carbon finish vs the free sponge but didn't see that discussed.

Need to get a spotting scope for the next trip to the range and go from there. Appreciate any input.
