If UM owns the mold I wonder how long before they bring this in-house. Seems like something I'd consider if I were them. They don't seem afraid of any project!

Where are they re-selling these out-of-spec stocks? I bet there's some non-weight-weenies who would snatch them up at 20% off.

Do you know what my rokstock weighed when I got it? Me neither, cuz I got a scope mounted and started shooting it! I understand people want accurate information but the whole worlds is becoming a customer service desk for the pickiest 5% of people. If they started with a weight range on the website we would have saved pages....

Or find a different partner. The Stockys price point is compelling but I suspect some would pay a little more to get a potentially more refined product on a more reliable timeframe. I mean… we got people paying $1500 for chassis.

So I spoke with UM and unfortunately, my stock failed QC again and is going back to Stockys. This is no fault of UMs. I’m frustrated a subpar product is being shipped out by Stockys only to be denied at UM. The wasted time back and forth is getting old. At this point, I might see my Rokstok lite before this one is even done - that’s assuming Stockys can make the lite stock correctly.

I found it yesterday. To be clear it could be fixed, however it should not be sold to costumers.

If you want, I will take one of mine over to UM and have them paint it, etc to what you ordered.

Or find a different partner. The Stockys price point is compelling but I suspect some would pay a little more to get a potentially more refined product on a more reliable timeframe. I mean… we got people paying $1500 for chassis.

It is not “find a different partner”. ALL of the viable companies were talked to before Stockys. All were the same issues:

1). Massive mold/startup costs (like $50,000)

2). $1,000 plus a stock

3). It was clear that several had a history of “copying” others stocks and then stopping production of the other companies stock.

My issue is the carbon fiber is delaminating. I couldn’t care less about the weight.

With the lead time I was getting to with my rokstok going past 6 months, I was tempted to ask for a discount on a future purchase…. Then I remembered the absurd price of the S2H scope and the group buy discount for OG6-S and I realized they’re already giving it to me

I’m just excited to get it installed and to start shooting.

Their communication has been great, they’re always upfront and take care of issues, and they respond and innovate in a way no other company is. Can’t complain.

I’ll say this. I had a RS that didn’t shoot well. 2-3” groups. I thought the bolt release pin was not accounted for in the mold. I made an effort to fix myself and the rifle still shot poorly. Form asks me to send it in. I did, called the shop about a week after I know it arrived. They advised the action “wallowed” in the stock. I received a replacement within another week. I am very pleased with the customer service and decisions to replace mine. Great service with good communication. I immediately purchased the UM rings to try them out.

I will publicly recommend UM and the RS as both deliver as promised.

That’s a bummer… Hopefully Stockys can refine the process. I will say that every time I’ve called UM they have been awesome.

I am pleased with my beefy RS Lite. If anyone wants to offload a Beefy REM 700 RS hit a guy up.

I thought I read or saw or heard that the normal RS will reverentially get the same textured patterns as the lite. Is that still true?

Apparently I’m in the same situation according to Mikey mine was also one of the impacted stocks that delaminated and has been sent back again. I’m not having the best luck with this one. Forgot to update on mine.

Got a hold of UM last week and they sent me an RMA to get my LOP kit fixed. Also received an email from Cody making sure I was taken care of. Very much appreciated.

I’m waiting on a return call with an updated estimated eta. Mikey was leaving that department a message to get with me as he was out of the office on Friday when we spoke. I don’t want them to incur an extra shipping expense if it’s within the next 30 days so I’m trying to be patient.

Just to be clear, if the RokStok I ordered comes in at either of those weights, I will be perfectly happy. Just send one to paint the UPD and I am good to go.
