RokStok

I for one am incredibly grateful for the rokstock that I’ve had for about the last year. It has been an absolute joy to shoot, has better ergonomics than any other stock I’ve ever handled, and I smile every time I see it come out of the case. It puts my rifle into the magical carryable and shootable 9 pound range.

@Unknown Munitions and @Stockys, thank you for building the stock and doing a transparently for all of us to see. I know it is difficult, that there are people who are really frustrated that you have to deal with on a day-to-day basis, but there are those of us that really appreciate your time, money, and effort put into this product.

Got my Rokstok and nitried tikka from um a few days ago.
Have not shot it yet as im figuring out my scope mounting but I’m very happy with it.
Fit and finish is great.
Will be ordering up a lite version.

so many of these threads serve as examples why every other manufacturer does not interact with the public to the level of engagement and transparency that UM does. A lot of time of theirs has probably been wasted by stupid bitching.

100%. I've watched top pros, experts, and manufactures in the firearms space jump on different forums over the years, share a bunch of immensely valuable information and insight, get 20% extremely positive engagement, 70% silent or neutral following, and 10% puke from $h*tbag neckbeards that just ruin threads with uninformed and inexperienced opinions, b*tching, attempts at status signaling, and unchecked trolling even.

And that is exactly why those industry people bounce right the hell on out of those places after months or even weeks - and why we need to keep each other in check here. Cultivate those industry members and this forum as a place they know they'll be welcomed for their insights and experiences, and to be treated fairly.

Nobody at a family BBQ is going to think you're "just being honest" if you're being an antagonistic @$$hole to a respected guest - just do the same here and act like you're at that BBQ. Legit questions and concerns have an obvious and apparent tone that's very different from the neckbeard behavior.

In reality, if UM was not as engaged on this space, they would not have near the revenue from the FOMO crowd (folks like me). I actually wish I had never joined RokSlide. I would have never heard of S2H, Form, RSS, or a miriad of other things that have caused endless debates with my peers and material $$$. I'd still be shooting my 300WM with the Gold Ring, chasing 3 shot groups to get that zero correct, doing load ladders and tinkering with other minutia. I would not have 5 RSS (65 CM, 6CM, and 223), no Revics, no guilt for not shooting a minimum of 1000+ rounds a year in real situations.

I would miss more and be less proficient, but I would be ignorantly happy and have things I would blame for my failures 😂

I would also not have to be on the damn "waiting list" for the RSLite 🙁 ... "hook, line, and sinker"

Ha Ha! So true. Have spent lots of time and money. Has been worth every penny and second. Not to mention how much fun I’m having. And yes, there has been a little frustration and second guessing.
Not there yet, but getting closer to calling myself a Rifleman.

I met Jake at the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo this year. Despite that place being slammed with people, my brother and I spoke with him and at least 2 or 3 other employees at length about stocks, scopes and suppressors. They graciously answered all of our questions and never rushed away to talk to others. For that, they were rewarded with several more purchases and future business. They were all a bunch of really good guys...even Jake 😉...bringing us a bunch of new and innovative products (in a short period of time). I made sure to tell Jake a couple things:
1) I can't believe you guys put up with all the bitching and nitpicking from Rokslide.
2) Thanks for providing high quality products that are attainable by those of us on a "PBR budget".
3) Keep up the good work...you guys are killing it with your customer service.

I guess i dont understand #1. How would they not put up with the bitching and nitpicking? Are you suggesting that they should not sell to those on Rokslide or not market their products on Rokslide?

He’s saying they would stop listening to the people here complaining, paying attention to anything here, and stop posting in threads where they iterate customer feedback.

I understand what you are saying. As we all know Roksliders are a very particular group, and with Ryan being one of the owners he certainly know that. Im sure Ryan knew exactly what he was getting into when he marketed their products on Rokslide and im sure their level of interaction is responsible for a lot of their sales.

I'm not suggesting that at all. I think my statement was pretty well summed up by @rbutcher1234 and @RockAndSage.

What other forum in the hunting space has industry people and manufacturers that communicate and collaborate with forums members as much as Rokslide? I just think we have a good thing going here and they are doing a better job than most about sharing information and addressing questions and concerns, so let's not screw up this relationship with repeated petty complaints. Folks need to cut 'em some slack and be more patient. I'm sure these guys could hit "the easy button", reduce their communicating and interaction with the forum, and just go on making a pretty decent living without all the hassle. But these guys aren't "normal"...they are trying to bring us innovative products that work with the options we want...and trying to change the industry.
Carry on!
