RokStok

I was following the conversation about adding LOP using a grind to fit recoil pad on the new RokStok Lite. But that the OG RokStok uses a Limbsaver.

Does anyone know if Limbsaver makes a thicker plug and play recoil pad, or would we need to buy a grind to fit?

I put this one on mine. Added 1/2 from original pad.
Wasn’t a perfect fit but close enough for me. It did require drilling 2 new holes as the holes from the previous recoil pad didn’t match up.

I've used both this and the Limbsaver Tikka pad. This one fits better but the Tikka one has the holes in the right spot so you don't have to drill anything. I didn't notice any difference between the two while shooting.

That 10809 pad has the weird little lip in there as well. Between that and the holes seems annoying. Might pull a tikka bad off one of my factory stocks and see how that fits.

The tikka pad has a 1/16"-1/8" exposed stock all around but the holes line up perfect.

I used a Backfire pad on my Rokstock—-seems to work well. That rifle is only a 6.5 Creed.

I bought a 10811.
According to my brief research, I think the holes will align but it may be slightly big.
Amazon says it will be here tomorrow. I'll report back.

Guys, if you want to replace the pad on the ROKStok- Pachmyer grind to fit is the way. It does not take long to do it, and is the best options. If cost wasn’t such- all the Rokstock would come with them.

Thanks Form! Pachmyer has several styles, which model/type would you recommend?

752 Small for a regular is what longrangelead told me, havnt installed mine yet but looks good. Does need new screw holes in it though.

I installed 3 Pachmayr 01413 DB752B small grind to fit pads on Rokstoks. Only took about 10 minutes to do each one. I glued them on with no screws. Length of pull came out to close to 14"

Do you have any pics? What glue did you use?
I used epoxy on other stocks in the past. I didn't have any so I used Loctite 380 on these. Only less than 1/4" of grinding on the top and bottom and very little along the sides. The Pachmayr weighed almost the same as the factory pad, spacers, and screws but was a fraction of an ounce lighter before grinding

Thanks gents!

Ironically, that was the exact Pachmayr model I was looking at. It's good to have confirmation before you spend the cash and spend time on the install. Appreciate the info.
